I am based in Limeira - SP, Brazil, and I work with companies and factories in Limeira, Piracicaba, Americana, Santa Bárbara d'Oeste, Rio Claro, Araras, Cordeirópolis and Iracemápolis, with on-site visits when the project calls for it. Everywhere else in Brazil, service is remote.
// Background
I got into computing around 1984, at the age of 13, with the beloved TK computers, which stored data on cassette tapes and used the TV as a monitor. From the very first contact I was hooked, and I wanted to understand how that amazing machine worked. I looked for information in magazines, mainly Input, a collection I completed and still keep with great affection. The fun of the 80s became a career, and I never stopped programming.
I started with BASIC on the Sinclair Spectrum, and then moved on to the Expert, a Gradiente computer programmed in MSX. With MS-DOS came COBOL, Clipper and Pascal. With MS-Windows came Delphi and, along with it, the MySQL and Oracle databases, to which I later added SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
When the Internet arrived, curiosity knocked on the door again: I learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and Linux, with its Apache, Bind and Iptables services.
Today I also develop apps for mobile devices. I went through Android Studio and, when Delphi gained FireMonkey and cross-platform capability, my passion for programming was renewed. I keep studying.
I have worked professionally in IT since 1998, when I wrote my first programs in Delphi 4.0. In 2001 I earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Unimar. Since then I have been writing software and managing projects in a wide range of areas: from applications for small offices, websites and server setup to large systems for multinational companies, tied to industrial automation and embedded systems.
